The Meatrix

I stumbled across an extremely interesting website a few days ago.

As a small farm striving to bring awareness to the local food movement, this website encouraged us. I wanted to share it with you guys in hopes to bring encouragement to the small farms that read this blog and awareness everyone since we are all consumers.

The fact of the matter is, there are now more food alternatives springing forth than just your regular grocery store down the street. Although in our area (Brazos & Washington County), the farms are still a bit sparse. We took this into consideration when our farm began taking shape, and now our hope is to be able to provide for all of our customer's protein needs- beef, pork, chicken, and eggs. Yummy!

The website is called, The Meatrix. It is a spin off of the movie, The Matrix. It is amazing how closely these two things relate. It is worth watching just for that reason alone.

They created a series of highly educational and entertaining videos that are worth watching. They aren't long at all. So, go watch the videos, check out the website, and then come back and leave me a comment.

The Meatrix, I- small farms vs. large corporations
The Meatrix, II- exposing the dairy industry

When will your farm begin selling food products? We'd like to know what options we might have to fill our freezer this fall.

Hi Kenley Family!

We will soon butcher some pigs and have pork products. Come fall, we should have beef. And we are anticipating to have whole chickens late fall or winter for sale.

As of right now, we have eggs for sale. Our chickens are on pasture at all times and are fed 100% organic grains as well.

I will put you on our list to contact as soon as we have product available. Thanks so much!

Blessings,
Lynsey

I haven't had much time to comment lately, but I wanted to know that I've enjoyed each and every post you've made lately. Love the pictures. Love your view of life. Your girls are precious.

I even started drinking ACV again. :)

We're getting beef and pork from a farmer across the field from us this year. I'm really excited about that. Hopefully next year we'll have a much larger veggie garden.
